Too often we are told that we should look at a company's financials to determine the health of the organization, but this is preposterous. Looking at financials is looking at the past and even worse, it is looking at a past without any of the important information, without proper context. That would be akin to a football coach coaching this week's game off of last weeks score. Who we are looking for

Make no mistake, while we do seek out businesses to partner with we are not trying to sell this service as much as businesses need to sell us on taking them on as partners. There are far more companies needing our services than we will ever be able to service so our selection process is limited and reserved. We are seeking businesses and leaders who:

  1. Are doing $1 million or more in annual revenue
  2. Have been in operation longer than two years
  3. Have ownership that knows they don't know it all and understand that success with the help of others is worth something.

 

Too often business owners focus on being good at whatever their business does as opposed to being good at business and they see growth and success as something that should be cheap and easy. The truth is that the world's biggest and best companies spend a fortune staffing their boards with experts and the owners rarely own more than 15% of their companies. There are too many failing 100% owners of businesses, which is why our selection process is so important in our decision-making.

In a time dominated by "experts" trying to sell programs and mentorships, that is NOT what we are doing. We structure our partnerships with a combination of fee and equity. The fee aspect we allow our partners to select the option that works best for them, and the equity portion is so minimal that even the bank wouldn't see us as a partner.
